The complete disability while healing the so-called dermal diseases had
confirmed the idea of titled French patho-physiologist. The precise diagnosis
is an essential condition for successful treatment. This principle is
equally applied in all, i.e. in western (orthodoxal) as well as in complementary
medical systems. Naturally, everything genial is simple. That is why from
the ancient times people try to diagnose the condition of inner organs
from the external evidences. And this is true not only for internal organs,
but also to the condition of psychic which assessed properly helps to
apply the adequate therapy. Human and his invisible energetic solids compose a huge information prospect
and every thought, every act and objective is a direct manifestation of
his entity. Every character trait, every emotion at the present moment
and for longer time influencing the individual reflects itself in his
internal condition and his appearance. Eyes, face, hands and body cannot
lie. Like a mirror they reflect the condition of psychics. Ability to
understand this console in which ones or the others pilots lights switch
on depending on the changes in the organism is a real art. Such diagnostics
may be considerably more informative than analyses using some devices.
Humankind has stored an enormous empirical experience which proclaim
about external human body parts which represent their inner organs. The
disease diagnostics judging fromn the face was studied and applied in
China. It was called Sian-Min or "reading from the face" art.
Sian-Min art was practiced by great masters and was kept in secret and
transferred it just orally and just for the best followers. Chinese kind
of philosophy and medicine has a big potential in this perspective. In
western countries this kind of diagnostics has its roots in Ancient Greek.
Good readers "from a face" were Socrates, Aristotle, Plato and
Plutarch, excellent master in diagnostics from the face was "the
father of medicine" Hypocrites as well as Galen, Pelops etc. A big
interest to diagnostics from the face was shown by modern scientists and
researchers including Gal, C. Bell, G. Gedas, Zacharin and Doctor K. Shirren
From this perspective the skin and its structure are very important.
Skin serves as peculiar blood shed, as a second spleen of the organism.
Varicose skin veins may gather more that one liter of blood while entire
bulk of circulating blood is five liters. It is established that skin
is important gland of internal and external secretion and is closely related
to all internal organs, connective tissue and endocrinal glands (adrenals
and others). Skin has a big sensitivity to irritation and is a source
of neurovenial reactions when warmth and ions are being educed. German scientist S. Shlitz claims that skin is "the biggest endocrinal
gland". Indeed its reactions to the changes of internal organs prove
the validity of this proposition. The double role of skin must be mentioned.
It is connected not only with external bogy tissues but also with the
internal systems. Having many receptors it reacts to pain, cold, warmth,
touch, vibration, pressure and electromagnetic fields of celestial bodies.
Thus we have an enormous skin informational characteristic as well as
its role transferring this information to addressee. The information from
the systems of internal organs is being transferred to precisely preset
skin places. All this makes perfect potential for healing and diagnosing
with the help of skin. In the seven layers of skin there is considerable amount of different
elements: cells, grains, pigment, fat and perspiration glands, straight
muscles, receptors as well as the biggest lymph and the net of vessels.
What is important is that alarm signals from the internal organs sometimes
appear on the skin at the same moment as the disease itself, but sometimes
they appear long before it. In any case, the diagnose accomplished on
time helps to begin the treatment immediately. The millennial experience
of using acupuncture and the great effectiveness of it testify about the
perspective of using skin tissues for therapeutic treatment.
The Chinese philosophy and medicine analyses life and its laws, which
can be generalized by two propositions: polarity and rhythm. They exist
only together and together keep the mystery of the world According to ancient Chinese philosophy the vital processes of all four
nature kingdoms (minerals, plants, animals and humankind) are dependent
on polarity principle. The principles of polarity are applicable in the
common existence within the limits of community. This concept of polarity
exists in all worlds' philosophical teachings which reflect the laws of
dialectics and the struggle between opposites. Polarity guarantees the
life in planet by forming too essential processes: creation and elimination
without which life cannot exist. For ancient Chinese doctors health is equal to harmonic In-Jan balance
while illness is accordingly the result of the change in this polarity
both in the organism and outside it. The research of human organism forbids looking at it as to the fragmented
system which consist form the number of organs and cells. The approach
of Chinese doctor depends only on integrity and integrated working. Birth
and death according to In and Jan principles are the too poles the existence
of which is impossible without any of them. The maintenance of their balance
consists from the processes of creation and elimination as well as the
regulation of their dynamics. Health disorders appear when one from these
processes begins to dominate against the other. Such dominance leading
to misbalance was considered to be a serious disadvantage of the work
of ancient Chinese doctor. Accordingly the treatment for Chinese doctor
consisted from the negotiation of the disease while warranting the harmony
of all forces at the same time. What is very valuable in Chinese medicine
is that human being is perceived not divorcing it from the surroundings.
Naturally the features of those surroundings must be familiar. Thus it
is not surprising that ancient Chinese doctor must have been philosopher,
naturalist and know not only science, but also the laws of heaven and
earth, their rhythms and their impacts on human. Ancient Chinese doctor after curing the imperator was being rewarded
for his job just in cases if the imperator was well after the treatment
and used to lose the reward if the imperator got sick. What does it mean?
Firstly, the prophylactic medicine has the advantage over the engineering
medicine. Then goes the logic conclusion: Chinese doctors had known all
the mechanisms which allow foreseeing the coming of pathologic appearances.
Accordingly ancient Chinese doctors were interested in basic health parameters,
their dynamics and changes within the limits of those norms, which had
settled according to contemporary level of Chinese medicine. Using Chinese medicine as well as other means of treatment evokes the
name of mythical Chinese imperator Sen-Nuna. He about 3218 BC wrote a
book where ventilated the problems of medicine. Supposedly, the propositions
in that book are the ground for the modern medicine principles as well
as the ground for future medicine. Each of us once probably was thinking why while wearing warm clothes
and footwear and having the face open we don't freeze? The great achievement
of Chinese medicine is that it can interpret any phenomena and facts.
Why face is so resistant to cold? The thing is that all main Jan tracks
and internal In veins and links join in face and head. In Nanczin's book
it is said that when "Jan-Ci flowers, human does not feel cold".
In the ancient tractate "Lin Su" is said that "all the
canals go up until reach the face and then blossom with vital force Ci,
human being cease to feel cold, because the heat increases". Jan force comes to the eyes and human can see. Energy circulating in
sides and front part of the body concentrates in ears and human can hear.
Energy comprised in upper and middle parts of a body goes up to the nose
and person may smell. The feeding energy coming form the stomach until
the end of nose allows tasting. Total fluid part of energies comes to the face and guarantees its nourishment
that is why face skin and muscles are tight and resistant to various temperatures.
When some kind of energy circulation is disturbed some part of face suffers.
Thus knowing the courses of meridians it is possible to perform diagnostics
very reliably. In the face as in the map we have seven "Titled gates
- openings" Sian-men, entrant and outgoing gaps of tight and hollow
organs. According to Nanczin terminoloy: "Lips are the gates of dragon, Teeth - the open gates, Throat (pharynx)
- the inspiration gates, Stomach - the gates of shine, Stomach passage
- the gates of great larder. Hidden gates - anus - are the gates of Po
spirit. Eyes are the mirror of liver, Nose is the post of lung protection,
and Ears are the gates and representatives of kidney A spleen as we know drives the lips and that means that from the gates
of Dragon the energy of spleen comes and reflects the shine of earth.
Dragon symbolizes movement and thus the movement of lips allows eating.
The heart energy and language comes through mouth and teeth which are
called open gates. Contrary, food comes to stomach through mouth and teeth.
Through mouth (pharynx) the breathing energy and sounds come to the lungs
and later to all tight organs. That is why throat is called Inspiration
gates. The used energy comes out through anus. Po spirit symbolizes lungs
and that is why rectum and anus are called the gates of Po spirit." In-Jan principles have enormous practical meaning by estimating the type
of individual his addiction to various diseases appealing to face bones
and the structure of soft tissues.
Very often the sign appeared on the face does not show the disease but
just symbolizes energetic disorders. Moreover, the inborn marks on face
and body where the meridians goe both flat and topping testify about weak
energo- informatic condition. If considerably many signs show the same
disease and if it didn't appeared yet it means that later it'll certainly
appear. Unfortunately, but all the diagnostic equipment estimates the
pathology while it progresses and no energetic disorders are being recorded.
And these disorders firstly appear in the level of polarity Most importantly we must know that any sign on the face messages about
some disorder in Cosmos and Way laws. While studying the situation the
problem and the sign may vanish and the disease not to manifest. Using
the face diagnostic one must remember that "there is nothing mysterious
which later will not become open." That is why any pathology will
certainly manifest on the face Agreeably with law of Similarity, every cell of human organism has the
information about all the organism and respectively every independent
part of the body may be grouped into prime areas and organs. During the
development of an embryo the main functional systems of an organism and
their main organs delegate their projections into a face respectively
into four large regions: digestive and respiratory, nervous, circulation
and emission systems. One from the most interesting schemes which reflect
the correlation of face and organs was presented by M. Kusi, a well-known
macrobiotics specialist in Japan and USA.
